About KCGH (KennisCentrum Global Health)

KCGH wants to exchange knowledge about global health and health care professionals. By educating via e-learning and courses, networking and platforms, supporting and coordinating working groups and more.  

Goals: 

  • Addressing health inequalities 
  • Recognizing interconnected determinants like health, environment, social, economic and ecological factors.  
  • Translating international learnings to Dutch practice 
  • Promoting partnerships 
  • Fostering capacity building: helping scholars and professionals to improve their skills and knowledge in global health.  

Collaborations with GHH-partners

  • NVTG & OIGT: KCGH was founded by NVTG (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Tropische Geneeskunde) and OIGT (Opleidingsinstituut Internationale Gezondheidszorg en Tropengeneeskunde). They organize symposia together.  
  • KIT: Koninklijke Instituut voor de Tropen partnered with KCGH in events such as ‘Decolonizing Global Health Sessions’ and ‘The Power of Knowledge’ 
  • Amsterdam UMC: partner in discussions/strategy events about Dutch Global Health Strategy.
