About KCGH (KennisCentrum Global Health)
KCGH wants to exchange knowledge about global health and health care professionals. By educating via e-learning and courses, networking and platforms, supporting and coordinating working groups and more.
Goals:
- Addressing health inequalities
- Recognizing interconnected determinants like health, environment, social, economic and ecological factors.
- Translating international learnings to Dutch practice
- Promoting partnerships
- Fostering capacity building: helping scholars and professionals to improve their skills and knowledge in global health.
Collaborations with GHH-partners
- NVTG & OIGT: KCGH was founded by NVTG (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Tropische Geneeskunde) and OIGT (Opleidingsinstituut Internationale Gezondheidszorg en Tropengeneeskunde). They organize symposia together.
- KIT: Koninklijke Instituut voor de Tropen partnered with KCGH in events such as ‘Decolonizing Global Health Sessions’ and ‘The Power of Knowledge’
- Amsterdam UMC: partner in discussions/strategy events about Dutch Global Health Strategy.
